The overproduction of candida albicans causes what is popularly called A Yeast infection. One of the most basic things to do to find relief from yeast infection is to manage your diet.
Avoid sugar as it feeds the yeast and allows it to multiply. Use a sugar substitute if you must. Xylitol is a good option since it is proven to be an anti-fungal and it inhibits the growth of Candida Yeast.
As you are avoiding sugar, fruits are a big no no. Eat fruits that have low sugar content like lemons, limes, green apples, berries or grapefruit.
You can eat meat as long as it is not breaded.
Vegetables are such as tomatoes, zucchinis, broccoli and asparagus are also recommended since they can absorb the toxins from the fungus and carry them out of your body.
Starchy food like potatoes, squash, corn and yams should be avoided.
Eat yogurt regularly. The live cultures in the yogurt can help Fight Candida yeast and adds good bacteria back to your body. It is also interesting to note that yogurt can be used topically to find relief from yeast infection. Just dip a tampon into plain and unsweetened yogurt. Insert into the vagina and leave for a few hours.
